Man's death ruled a homicide

A post mortem examination has confirmed that Oshawa resident Claudio Cara died of “sharp force injury,” and is Durham Region’s second homicide victim of the year.

Police were on scene at the 56-year-old’s Waverly Street North home for the majority of the week after a call came in shortly after noon last Wednesday from a family member of Cara who had found the deceased man.

Police recently released details that the death of 56-year-old Claudio Cara of Oshawa was a homicide. Investigators were on scene for the majority of last week at the Waverly Street North home where the man lived.
