The Oshawa Civic Complex is in the market
for a makeover and with the recent announcement
made by Finance Minister Jim Flaherty it
will be possible.
Recently the federal government announced
new funding for the City of Oshawa to renew
and expand the Oshawa Civic Complex.
The governments of Canada and Ontario,
and the City of Oshawa will each invest up to
$6,483,333, for a
total investment of
$19,450,000, in the
renewal and expansion
of the Oshawa
Civic Complex on Thornton Road South.
The funding is in an effort to stimulate the
economy, provide jobs and enhance local facilities
and services.
