Woman airlifted to Sunnybrook after car crash
February 10, 2010

A 42-year-old woman was airlifted to a Toronto hospital after a two-car crash at an Oshawa intersection.
Police were called to the intersection at Mary Street and Rossland Road around 11 a.m. A Nissan SUV, being driven by the 42-year-old Ajax woman, was traveling west on Rossland when it crashed into a green Sable, being driven by a 71-year-old Oshawa woman, police say.
An air ambulance landed in a nearby schoolyard and the woman was transported to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The other driver, the elderly woman, was taken to Lakeridge Health Oshawa as a precaution, police say. She was treated for minor injuries and released.
Road conditions have been ruled out as a contributing factor in the crash and the investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information about the collision can call police at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5100.
