Make it three in a row for the Durham College men’s basketball team.
The Lords notched their third straight victory by stifling the Loyalist Lancers 91-71 in Belleville recently.
OCAA scoring leader Rob Gagliardi had a huge night for Durham as he drained 38 points to go along with 16 rebounds, six steals and four assists.
Gagliardi leads the league in scoring averaging 26.3 points per game. If he continues at this pace and plays in the Lords eight remaining home games, he will be the first OCAA player in over 20 years to eclipse 500 points in a season.
Christoff Pierre and Tyler McGarrity also had big nights for the green and gold as they scored 20 and 15 points respectively.
The Lords move into a tie for fourth place with the George Brown Huskies in the OCAA east region with matching 7-5 records.
The Lords will be put to the test next weekend as they travel to Ottawa for a game against the Algonquin Thunder (10-2). The last time these two teams met, Algonquin pulled out an exciting 91-88 victory.
