Man arrested in robbery, two suspects at large

A 19-year-old Lindsay man was arrested after he and two others robbed and assaulted a man in Oshawa.

On February 8 at 6:30 p.m. the victim was walking by himself on Somerville Avenue near Iroquois Avenue when he was approached by the first suspect. Two other male suspects then arrived and the victim was accosted and robbed of money and personal items. He suffered minor injuries as a result of the robbery.

A suspect was identified and arrested later the next morning. After further investigation, he was linked to another recent street-level robbery, police say. 

A man, of Elgin Street in Lindsay is charged with two counts of robbery.

The investigation is ongoing and police are appealing for information to identify the two outstanding suspects.

The second suspect is described as white, 18 years old, 6’” tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black toque, black hooded sweatshirt and grey sweatpants. 

The third alleged robber is described as white, 20 years old, 6’2” tall. He was wearing a brown jacket, blue and white striped toque along with a blue bandana.
