E-waste events to be held soon

Looking to get rid of your unwanted broken electronic and electrical equipment? The region is hosting a number of free E-waste recycling events. Residents of Durham can drop off their televisions, satellite systems, printers and accessories, fax machines, computers and monitors, telephones anmd much more for free. All of the equipment gathered is completely shredded at an approved industrial recycling site, and the materials will be recovered for reuse, says the region.

E-waste events will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Whitby at the Town’s Operations Centre at 333 McKinney Dr. on Saturday, Oct 24, Scugog at 2 Old Rail Line on Saturday, Sept. 19, Uxbridge at 75 Marietta St. on Saturday, Sept. 26, Ajax on Oct. 3 at 2001 Audley Rd. N and in Bowmanville on Oct.17 at 178 Clarke Townline Rd.
