Dear Editor,
As a member of the tax paying public, attending the February 22 Council Meeting, we were all treated to the “more transparent” city politicians in action.
MBAs for Councillor April Cullen and James Anderson were on the agenda as a motion was tabled in an effort to regain some of the taxpayer’s money, which was buried in the recent budget.
As each MBA cost us $23,000, the motion could have been better worded to request $18,000 from these two individuals as they were entitled to a $5,000 expense over three years under the corporate training policy.
This notion that, “11 members of council were asleep at the switch” is not true as Mayor John Gray and Councillor Cullen were very aware of the ‘deal’ that was arranged from the very beginning.
Collusion is alive and well at City Hall!
I look forward to the upcoming election and those honest individuals who will help build a better Oshawa.
