March 10 2010

An Oshawa teen ended up in hospital after being stabbed in the neck behind a city high school.
The teen, who is 19-years-old, was walking to the store early in the morning on Sunday to buy cigarettes with another 19-year-old when he decided to take a short cut through the playing field at Eastdale Collegiate, say police.
The teen says a lone man, who demanded their possessions, confronted him. The victim says he was stabbed in the neck by the man who then ran after his friend.
Both teens were able to run home and call police.
The victim was taken to Lakeridge Health Oshawa where he was treated for the stab wound and later released.
The suspect is described as a white man between 20 and 30 years old. He is 5’ 10’’ with a small build. The victim says he was wearing a light-coloured hoodie with white fur on the collar.
Anyone with information can call police 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2711.
