A young Oshawa man is dead after a car crash in Whitby.
The 25-year-old Oshawa man, whose name is being withheld by request of his family, was driving his Honda on Thickson Road North near Conlin Road when it collided with a silver Toyota.
The crash happened around 1:30 p.m.
The Oshawa man was taken to Lakeridge Health Oshawa where he later died as a result of his injuries.
The driver of the Toyota, a 27-year-old Whitby woman, was treated at the hospital for minor injuries and released.
Police were on the scene for several hours to investigate, they say. The road was closed to traffic for that time.
Officers are looking to speak to anyone who may have information or who may have witnessed the crash.
