March 17 2010

An Oshawa man is facing 13 counts of break and enter after being nabbed by police minutes after his latest robbery.
Police responded to the report of a break and enter incident in Whitby around 11 p.m. Witnesses told police they saw the man inside the retail store on Brock Street North. The store had obvious signs of forced entry, say police. Witnesses say they saw the man flee the store and then later saw him walking behind another retail store close by.
Police searched the area immediately and found the man inside a nearby store, they say. He was arrested at the scene.
The 27-year-old Oshawa man has been charged with 13 counts of break and enter for a number of incidents throughout the region recently, possession of property obtained by crime, three counts of breach of probation and obstructing police.
Anyone with information about the break-ins can call police at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2710.
